The other day I came across something very interesting shared by a doctor.
When a woman is pregnant throughout her 41 weeks, the cells of her foetus migrate into the mother’s bloodstream and then back into the foetus. This is known as feto-maternal microchimerism.
Research has shown that if a mother’s heart is injured, the foetal cells rush to the site and help repair the damaged tissue.
So while the baby helps the mother mend her body, the mother is building her baby.
Studies have also shown that these cells stay back in the mother, permanently imprinted in her body in the form of brain, bones, skin etc. year after the baby has been born.
Ever wondered why the mothers can intuitively feel their children even when they are not around.
I guess the answer is not difficult to guess.
