Shiva and Shakti - I am both..

The best topic I could come across when I today start my writing journey here was to realize that both Shiva and Shakti are within us and it is only by understanding the true nature of each will reveal the divine within. It is said that our feminine side resides on our left side, while the masculine resides on our right side. We hold these energies within us and, when united, there’s a complete balance, joy and presence within our very being.

But there is yet another higher power, the Eternal limitless Power, the power beyond the Universe - Adi Parashakti. The Adi Parashakti mother is the power of Para Brahman. All other deities are forms, extensions and manifestations of her. She is also referred to as Param Prakriti. She is present in everything we see. She is represented in plants, animals, birds, sea and skies. Thus, she is the power who drives this universe.

It is also said that it is the mother Adi Parashakti that created the Trimurthis - Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh.

in Devi Bhagavatam, Mother tells the Trimurthis: ‘I am Adi Parashakti. I am the owner of this universe. I am the Absolute Reality. I am dynamic in feminine form and static in masculine form. You are three parts of me. You all are my partial expansions. You have appeared to govern the universe under my jurisdiction. You are the masculine form of Absolute Reality, while I am the feminine form of that Reality. I am beyond form, beyond everything, and all the powers of God are contained within me.’
